Lisa Ochoa is a writer based in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Her work moves through memory, intimate relationships, and the emotional and material systems people use to survive them, often returning to what is carried forward and what is left behind.

Lisa works across poetry, fiction, and essay. Her work has been published or curated by Bridge Eight Press, Moonstone Arts, Beyond Words, In Parentheses, Poet’s Choice, Musepaper, and others. In 2025, she was invited to become a member of the Academy of American Poets.
