Lisa Ochoa is a writer based in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Her work explores the complicated world of intimate relationships, the things we do to survive them, and the scars they leave often behind.

Lisa works across poetry, fiction, and essay. Her work has been published or curated by Bridge Eight Press, Moonstone Arts, Beyond Words, In Parentheses, Poet’s Choice, Musepaper, Porridge Magazine and others. In 2025, she was invited to become a member of the Academy of American Poets.
